When

The seasons for the yachting industry are as follows:

Mediterranean: April through to September Caribbean: November through to April

Shipyards and Dry Dock

In between the seasons there are numerous crossings from the Mediterranean Sea to the Caribbean Atlantic Ocean and vice versa. During this period a refit of the vessel in a shipyard or dry dock may also take place. This can be a good place to gain knowledge and understanding about the yachting industry. Working in both a dry dock in a shipyard and on a crossing is a great place to gain a lot of hands on experience.
